How to Add Comments to PDFs?

You can add comments while viewing a PDF file with PDF Reader Pro Mac. There are many tools for you to add comments, including Highlight, Link, Text Box, and so on, which is helpful for you to mark some significant information or add some notes. The following steps are available for commenting in PDF files.

 

There are nine types of comments you can add to PDF files.

1. Add Highlight, Underline, or Strikethrough

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools on the toolbar, and choose Highlight, Underline, or Strikethrough;
  • Drag over to freely select the content you want to mark;
  • You can choose colors, set opacity, and edit notes on the Annotation Properties Panel.

 

 

2. Add Freehand, Rectangle, Circle, Line, Or Arrow

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools  on the toolbar, and choose Freehand, Rectangle, Circle, Line, or Arrow;
  • Drag over to freely select the content you want to mark;
  • You can choose colors, set opacity, and edit notes on the Annotation Properties Panel.

 

 

3. Add Link

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools on the toolbar, and choose Link;
  • Click any place on the pages, and choose the link destination on the Annotation Properties Panel -> Go To Page, Hyperlink, or Email.

 

 

4. Add Text Box

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools on the toolbar, and choose Text Box;
  • Drag over to form a text box on the page, and input your text content;
  • You can choose colors and fonts, set opacity, and edit notes on the Annotation Properties Panel.

   

 

5. Add Anchored Note

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools on the toolbar, and then choose Anchored Note;
  • Click any place on the pages to add an anchored note;
  • You can choose the icon style and color, set opacity, and edit notes on the Annotation Properties Panel.

 

 

6. Add Stamp

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools on the toolbar, and then choose Stamp;
  • You can choose the style of stamp on the Annotation Properties Panel -> Standard/Custom/Dynamic;
  • After adding the stamp, you can rotate it and edit the notes on the Annotation Properties Panel.

 

 

7. Add Image

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools on the toolbar, and choose Image, then you can choose the image from your computer;
  • You can rotate the image, set the opacity, and edit notes on the Annotation Properties Panel.

 

 

8. Add Signature

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools on the toolbar, and choose Signature;
  • You can add new signatures in three ways -> Keyboard, Trackpad, and Image.

 

 

9. Add Tables

  • Open your file with PDF Reader Pro Mac;
  • Click Tools on the toolbar, and choose Table;
  • After adding tables, you can choose Table Style, Cell Size, Headers & Footers, and so on.

 

 

How to Delete an Annotation or Delete All Annotations?

  • Right-click your comment, and choose Delete;
  • Main menu--- PDF ---Remove All Annotations.
